Introduction:

Nexteer Automotive held a groundbreaking ceremony today for its new smart manufacturing facility in Liuzhou, China.

Features:

This project marks a major step in Nexteer’s strategic growth, strengthening its position in the Asia-Pacific steering market and addressing increasing demand from domestic and global OEMs.

The new plant will boost in-house production of essential components and promote closer collaboration across the supply chain. It will also feature a dedicated co-location space for core suppliers, encouraging real-time innovation, greater agility, and improved cost efficiency through a tightly integrated ecosystem.

The project involves both the relocation and construction of a new site. Once finished, operations from Nexteer’s current Liuzhou facility will be fully transferred to the new location.

Covering over 40,000 square meters, the plant will house advanced laboratories, test tracks, and an employee centre. Full operations are scheduled to begin in the first half of 2026.
