Introduction:

Ace Green Recycling, Inc., a leading provider of sustainable battery recycling technology solutions, today announced plans to establish India’s largest battery recycling facility. Set to be located in Mundra, Gujarat, the new facility will expand upon Ace’s existing commercial operations in India, further strengthening its commitment to sustainable and efficient battery recycling.

Features:

As part of its expansion, Ace Green Recycling has announced plans to establish a 10,000 metric ton per year LFP battery recycling capacity in India by 2026, addressing the growing demand for sustainable LFP battery recycling.

This strategic deployment of LithiumFirst™ LFP battery recycling technology in India will be phased in alongside the company’s planned rollout in Texas.

Located in Mundra, Gujarat, Ace's facility is strategically positioned near major ports that handle over 10% of India's maritime cargo, streamlining the transportation of battery recycling feedstock and off-take products.

The facility will utilize Ace’s proprietary, modular LithiumFirst™ technology, which enables LFP battery recycling at room temperature using a fully electrified hydrometallurgical process.

"LFP is expected to dominate the lithium battery market by 2030, and Ace is strategically scaling our LFP battery recycling capacity to meet demand and support our growing customer base," said Nishchay Chadha, CEO of Ace.

Vipin Tyagi, Chief Technology Officer of Ace, added, "Ace’s innovative technology enables profitable LFP battery recycling, even in a low lithium price environment, by recovering significant amounts of critical minerals.

Once fully operational, Ace’s Mundra facility is expected to create up to 50 high-value jobs, bringing the company’s total employment in India to over 100.
