Marti partners with Tensor to deploy autonomous vehicles in Türkiye
21 July 2026
Marti Technologies, Inc.Turkey’s leading mobility super app company, and Tensor, a pioneer in the field of personal autonomous vehicles, today announced a multi-year strategic partnership to procure and deploy Tensor’s autonomous vehicles (“AVs”) to integrate them into Marti’s mobility platform across cities in Turkey.
Marti currently offers ride-hailing services in 20 cities across Turkey, representing approximately 80% of the country's GDP. These cities include Istanbul, Ankara, Izmir, Kocaeli, Bursa, Antalya, Konya, Adana, Mersin, Gaziantep, Tekildag, Manisa, Kayseri, Mulla, Sakarya, Samsun, Eskişehir, Denizli, Aydın, and Yalova. Once the service launches, Marti platform users will be able to hail Tensor autonomous vehicles directly within the Marti app.
Founded in Silicon Valley in 2016, Tensor is the first company to develop Level 4 autonomous vehicles from scratch, suitable for both private ownership and professional fleet operations. Leveraging a decade of experience in autonomous vehicle development and holding California's second-ever permit for driverless passenger vehicle testing, Tensor launched the world's first personal advanced autonomous vehicle (Robocar) in August 2025. While designed for private owners, the platform is fully capable of fleet deployment, with built-in ride-hailing functionality allowing vehicles to seamlessly integrate into a global autonomous mobility network. To maximize fleet uptime and performance, Tensor's architecture employs a vertically integrated compute and sensor stack, equipped with proprietary sensor cleaning technology, enabling rapid scaling of the design operating domain and seamless performance enhancements through deep over-the-air ("OTA") updates down to the firmware level.
Tensor Robocar is powered by its proprietary supercomputer, which is equipped with eight NVIDIA Thor-X GPUs to support its advanced in-vehicle AI system and employs a "safety-first" architecture based on a highly redundant system.
Dr. Jay Xiao, CEO of Tensor, stated, “Our strategic partnership with Marti is an important step in making autonomous driving accessible to everyone and bringing a premium autonomous driving experience to users of the Marti platform. Following our recent partnership announcements in the US, UAE, and Europe, this collaboration further demonstrates our commitment to providing safe, efficient, and scalable luxury autonomous mobility services globally. We are delighted to join hands with Marti to bring cutting-edge transportation technology to platform users throughout Turkey.”
Marti Founder and CEO Oguz Alper Oktem stated, “As Turkey’s leading urban mobility platform, Marti has always been committed to pioneering new transportation services based on cutting-edge technologies nationwide. We are proud to build on this success and partner with Tensor to bring autonomous ride-hailing services to Turkey. With our large on-the-ground operations team, comprehensive infrastructure, and approximately 7.8 million unique platform users, Marti is fully capable of supporting the rapid and safe deployment of Tensor’s autonomous vehicle fleet over the next few years.”
About Tensor
Tensor is an American artificial intelligence company dedicated to developing intelligent agent products that empower humans. Its flagship product, the Tensor Robocar, is the world's first advanced autonomous vehicle and the first AI-powered intelligent agent vehicle—possessing fully autonomous driving capabilities, meeting automotive-grade standards, and designed for large-scale private ownership. Founded in Silicon Valley in 2016, Tensor is headquartered in San Jose, California, with a global presence and offices in Barcelona, Singapore, and Dubai.
Since its inception, Tensor has been a leader in the development of autonomous mobility. In 2017, the company received the first public road testing permit in California, and subsequently achieved two historic regulatory milestones: becoming the second company in California history to receive a public robotaxi testing permit from the California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC) (2019), and the second company to receive a fully autonomous driverless passenger vehicle operation permit from the California Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) (2020). Today, Tensor continues to lead the future of agent-based artificial intelligence by providing Level 4 autonomous driving technology to ride-hailing platforms and private car owners worldwide.
