EVE Energy obtains ASPICE CL2 automotive certification for its battery management system

EVE Energy Co., Ltd.one of the world's leading battery technology companies, recently received ASPICE CL2 certification from the German Association of the Automotive Industry indicating that battery management systems The company's battery systems ("BMS") have reached an advanced international standard.ASPICE (Automotive Software Process Improvement and Capability Determination) has become the reference framework for evaluating the R&D capabilities of software development teams in the automotive industry. Developed in compliance with ISO/IEC standards, ASPICE examines the skill levels of candidates through several indicators.

During the period from October 31 to November 4, 2022, the VDA evaluated 18 processes related to EVE Energy's SJ01 BMS project, all of which achieved Tier 2 certification standard. In addition, several BMS products from EVE Energy EVE Energy have now been certified for ISO26262 Automotive Safety Integrity Level (ASIL) D, as well as CCS, Thiel and GBT34131 certifications.

"As the core technology in lithium-ion battery application, EVE Energy's BMS products have entered the battery operating system development and application stage," said Dr. Wan . With a global battery management system R&D team of more than 200 people, EVE Energy has established a core R&D capability covering development, product experience and application experience based on functional security, information security and ASPICE standards.

To date, the R&D team has developed xHEV (12V, 48V, 400V) products and BMS products and services for the EBS1500 platform, which are commonly used in passenger cars, commercial vehicles, storage energy and ships. The products have also obtained ISO270001, ISO26262 and other related certifications.

All platforms are developed based on a unified ePDP process (compliant with ASPICE level 2 and 26262 requirements for functional safety) with Autosar 4.4 core software and MBD application platform to achieve ASIL C standard , based on product functionality, security levels, credibility and reliability.

EVE Energy provides OEMs with a complete stack solution to reduce the complexity of total vehicle design, shortening the development cycle, including:

- EVE Energy's 12V platform product, EBP 12, integrates electronic switches and intelligent protection functions to ensure the reliability of battery information control and safety during use, while supporting remote OTA. It has been used by BMW Group and Daimler customers, while major domestic OEMs are developing products using this system.

- EVE Energy's 48V platform product, EBP 48, focuses more on the development of information security, using 12V as the basis to improve the reliability of product communication. A coordinated start-stop project with Jaguar Land Rover and BMW Group, as well as other automotive brands, is in the C-sample development stage.

- The EV/PHEV/HEV compatible EVE Energy product, such as the EPB 400, which takes advantage of its compactness, low cost and high reliability, as well as its distributed, versatile and configurable advantages, mainly suitable for HEV/PHEV models.

- EVE Energy's 800 V product, including the EPB 800, is compatible with passenger cars and commercial vehicles. Daisy-chaining from the board increases reliability and effectively extends battery life.
