DEWA collaborates with several organisations to expand EV fast charging network

7 October 2025

Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) has signed agreements to expand the fast-charging network for electric vehicles (EVs) in Dubai, as part of its EV Green Charger initiative, launched in 2014. DEWA signed these agreements with Emirates National Oil Company (ENOC), Dubai Taxi, and Parkin.

“Together with our public and private sector partners, we are enhancing Dubai’s green mobility by building and developing an integrated electric vehicle charging infrastructure. This contributes to reducing carbon emissions and achieving the goals of the Dubai Clean Energy Strategy 2050, the Dubai Carbon Neutrality Strategy 2050 and the Dubai Green Mobility Strategy. We continue to collaborate with our partners across all sectors to lay the foundations for a sustainable green economy that meets the aspirations of our wise leaders and strengthens Dubai’s global competitiveness,” said HE Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, CEO of DEWA .

ENOCH

DEWA has signed a contract with Enoc Group to expand the fast-charging network for electric vehicles (EVs) at ENOC service stations in Dubai. This initiative aims to improve infrastructure to meet the growing demand for electric vehicles.

Dubai Taxi

DEWA and Dubai Taxi Company (DTC) have signed a long-term strategic contract for the deployment of ultra-fast electric vehicle charging stations within DTC's fleet across the emirate. This project will see the deployment of 208 ultra-fast electric vehicle charging points over the duration of the contract, in line with DTC's fleet transformation roadmap and Dubai's vision for sustainable development.

Parkin

DEWA and Parkin Company have signed a strategic contract to transform Dubai's public electric vehicle charging network, strengthening the emirate's global position as a leading hub for green and sustainable mobility. The first phase of the contract will see the installation of 100 electric vehicle charging stations in key locations across Dubai, including residential areas, shopping malls, leisure venues, and public spaces. A wider rollout will follow soon to cover other areas of the emirate. These stations will provide greater flexibility and accelerate the transition to electric vehicles.

Through its EV Green Charger initiative, DEWA is providing more than 1,500 charging points across the emirate in collaboration with its public and private sector partners.
