BYD brings its high-end Han EV to Europe

BYD Auto Co., Ltd., China's leading new energy car maker , has unveiled its highly anticipated premium sedan, the Han EV at a traveling exhibition in Stuttgart , Germany.

The Han EV is the first series-produced model equipped with BYD's new Blade battery, an innovative technology that reflects the company's research and development capabilities and its goal of redefining safety standards for the entire industry. The Blade Battery uses unique cells that are placed together and then inserted into a battery pack, increasing space utilization by more than 50 percent compared to conventional batteries. The long-range version of the Han has a NEDC-certified cruising range of 605 kilometers.
Powered by Bosch's integrated IPB brake system, the high-performance 4WD version boasts a stopping distance of 100km / h at 0 in 32.8 meters, which is the world's leader. The high-efficiency silicon carbide MOSFET engine control module enables acceleration from 0 to 100 km / h (62 mph) in just 3.9 seconds.
