Schaeffler Showcases Automotive Technologies at the Electric & Hybrid Vehicle Tech Expo and Detroit Auto Show

Schaeffler, a global motion technology company, is showcasing its vision for the future of personal transportation at two trade shows in the Detroit area: the Electric & Hybrid Vehicle Tech Expo at Suburban Collection Showplace in Novi from September 12 to 14, and the Detroit Auto Show at Huntington Place in Detroit on September 13 and 14. Schaeffler will be actively participating in both events, with booths, product demonstrations, and presentations focused on the trends and technologies shaping the automotive industry today.

Schaeffler at the Electric & Hybrid Vehicle Tech Expo

At booth #1011 of the Electric & Hybrid Vehicle Tech Expo, Schaeffler will present its comprehensive range of electrification solutions, covering everything from 48-volt hybridization to plug-in hybrid technologies and all-electric vehicle drives. The company will showcase its diverse portfolio, including electric axles, thermal management modules with integrated cooling systems, fuel cell stacks, battery systems, and more.

On Thursday, September 14, at 1:45 p.m., Dr. Rashid Farahati, Director of Engineering at Schaeffler, will deliver a presentation titled "Challenges in Solid-State Battery Manufacturing for Electric Vehicles." Dr. Farahati will discuss the significance of solid-state batteries as the next generation of EV battery technology and highlight the most daunting obstacles in solid-state battery manufacturing, along with strategies to overcome them.

Schaeffler at the Detroit Auto Show

At the 2023 Detroit Auto Show, Schaeffler will focus on its chassis and e-mobility innovations, participate in the Mobility Forum, and exhibit three demonstrator vehicles. Operating under the theme "driving connections, steering innovations," Schaeffler will demonstrate its comprehensive system-level understanding of vehicles, enabling the development of solutions for traditional internal combustion engines, hybrid powertrains, and fully electric drives.

In the Ambassador Ballroom (room 360), Schaeffler will showcase a range of innovations in chassis, e-mobility, and bearings. This includes the intelligent ride height actuator (iRHA), steer-by-wire technologies, electric beam axles, electric motors, actuator cooling systems, decoupling units, TriFinity wheel bearings, as well as other bearing solutions tailored for electric mobility applications.
