HUBER+SUHNER to unveil NACS High Power Charging Solution for electric vehicles in 2024

12 October 2023

HUBER+SUHNER is excited to introduce the expansion of its High Power Charging (HPC) product range, now featuring its North American Charging System (NACS). These charging prototypes will be accessible for field testing and validation in Q1 2024.

As a prominent provider of cooled cable technology within the HPC sector, the company can utilize its extensively utilized direct liquid cooled technology platform to create a secure, user-friendly, and lightweight NACS product tailored for North American clients. These charging solutions will be fully compatible with their established RADOX® HPC500 CCS1 system and will adhere to the most rigorous international safety standards.

This development occurs merely five months following HUBER+SUHNER's announcement of the prosperous field trial of its megawatt charging system, the RADOX MCS1500.

Stefan Buri, Vice President and Market Manager for HPC at HUBER+SUHNER, stated, "Our entry into NACS represents an inventive and future-oriented solution for our clients. As an increasing number of car manufacturers embrace the NACS standard for the North American market, the backward compatibility of our NACS solution offers charging point operators (CPOs) the adaptability they need while minimizing installation time and expenses."

"As always, HUBER+SUHNER aims not only to remain at the forefront of technological advancements but also to provide tangible benefits to our customers."

The new RADOX® HPC NACS system is engineered to streamline installation, ensure field reliability, require no maintenance, and offer a range of serviceability options, ensuring an extended service life.
