The Powertrain Asia Pacific Summit held successfully in June

Duxes hosted the Powertrain Asia Pacific Summit on June 7-9 in Shanghai, gathering industry professionals, policymakers, and analysts, to examine important developments to the powertrain field in China, and the Asia Pacific region. In addition to the wide range of content presented by speakers and panelists, a copy of the 2016 Powertrain Industry Report in China was distributed to each delegate, providing a framework for attendees to approach the issues discussed.

The summit began with a series of presentations addressing the regulatory environment in jurisdictions across the region, with input from officials in China and Thailand, as well as further content from speakers in the corporate world, such as Changan Automobile, Daimler and Honeywell on niche topics related to powertrain technology and business development opportunities.

The second day continued with a thorough lineup of technical experts, representing leading enterprises including Toyota, Dow Chemical, Cummins, PUNCH Powerglide and Delphi, detailing such issues as HEV/NEV technology, special lubricants, diesel aftertreatment technology,PHEV transmission solutions, and hybrid electric vehicle battery system.

The summit concluded on the third day with renewed focus on the powertrain sector in China. Notably, presenters spoke on issues affecting the future of the industry, which include national emissions standards from Dongfeng Motor and latest powertrain market conditions from China Association of AutomobileManufacturers (CAAM). Panel discussions speculated on prospects for the future of powertrain in China, in the wake of stricter fuel consumption standards and technological innovation.

The Powertrain Asia Pacific Summit was a resounding success, drawing acclaim from delegates for its comprehensive and diverse scope of inquiry into the powertrain industry.
