Off-Highway Vehicles and Diesel Engines to Headline Heavy Duty Week in Shanghai

Tuesday, Jul 04, 2017

Global sales for diesel engines are expected to grow at a brisk 5.8% CAGR over the next five years, and the Asia Pacific region is projected for more than half of new demand. In China, the thawing out of the housing market has led to faster than expected growth for construction machinery, including bulldozers, diggers, and dump trucks.

Furthering its support of the thriving heavy duty industry in China, and the Asia Pacific Region, Duxes will host its annual Heavy Duty Week 2017 in Shanghai on November 17-20, 2017. The event will consist of two consecutive two-day summits, the 3rd Asia Diesel Engine Summit 2017 and the 10th China Off-Highway Vehicle Summit 2017, both of which will gather a full slate of speakers from leading companies in the field, government agencies, and industry associations.

The diesel engine summit will address a wide range of topics, including emissions standards across Asia, emerging markets in China and India, diesel quality considerations, technical improvements, and technologies in high-demand, such as new energy vehicles. The off-highway vehicle summit will likewise cover important issues at the forefront of the industry, notably government initiatives in China, innovation related to lightweight, hybrid, intelligent manufacturing, and telematics, as well as the aftermarket business for off-highway vehicles.

Heavy Duty Week 2017 follows the success of 15 previous events in which Duxes has collaborated with the off-highway vehicle industry. In light of the evolving market environment for off-highway vehicles in Asia, Duxes hopes to encourage best practices by facilitating the exchange of knowledge and experience. Professionals working in the automotive industry and related fields are invited to attend.
