Tata AutoComp Systems launches VRLA batteries for two wheelers

Tata AutoComp GY Batteries, a joint venture between Tata AutoComp Systems and GS YUASA International, Japan inaugurated the manufacturing facility for Valve Regulated Lead-Acid (VRLA) batteries.

The VRLA range of batteries from Tata Green Batteries are precision engineered from premium grade raw materials and made in its state-of-the art manufacturing plant at Ranjangaon near Pune.

Ajay Tandon, MD & CEO, Tata AutoComp Systems said, "As the Indian automotive market is evolving, automotive manufacturers have to keep pace with consumer demands by upgrading their technology while matching global standards and local conditions. Tata AutoComp, along with its partners, has always tried to be at the forefront in offering cutting edge technologies to our esteemed customers."

To be marketed under the 'Tata Green Batteries- Velocity Plus' brand, the batteries will be available in 3AH, 3.5AH and 5AH, which are suitable for most 2 wheeler brands of motorcycles and scooters/ scooterettes.
