German auto part supplier, Hella opens a new production line at its Dhankot Plant in Haryana, India

The local unit of the German auto parts maker, Hella India has added a new production line at its Dhankot Plant in Haryana to manufacture body control module (BCM) and remote keyless entry (RKE) to meet increased demand in the Indian market.

"This expansion aims at fulfilling the increasing need of our local customers based on business contracts we have won with some of the key Indian OEMs." said Naveen Gautam, Managing Director, Hella India Automotive Pvt. Ltd.

The company has invested Rs 45 crore in this expansion taking the total capacity to upto 40,000 BCMs & 80,000 RKEs per month.

Hella India's Dhankot plant has a floor area of about 46600 sq.mts and houses over 800 employees. Apart from these new BCM/RKE production lines, Dhankot plant manufactures Accelerator Pedal Sensors, Horns, Head Light Levelling Sensors, Body Actuators, Central Locking actuators, Linear actuators, climate sensors, switches and ECUs for local and export businesses.

Hella is currently working with many Indian and multinational OEMs based in India for these products which are in various stages of development. The company have just begun production of BCM and RKE for Tata Motors.
