SRG opens second China auto parts factory

U.S. automotive supplier SRG Global Inc., announced today that it will expand its operations in China with the development of a new, state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in east-central Hubei province. The 23,000-square-meter facility will be the company’s second in the region and is scheduled to begin production in early 2016.

“This second facility demonstrates our strong commitment to customers in the region, and that we will deliver the highest quality products to meet their expanding production needs,” says Dave Prater, President and CEO of SRG Global. “We are on a journey to create value for customers, employees and shareholders and this expansion will showcase this commitment to manufacturing, operational and environmental excellence.”

The new facility will bring a fully automated, leading-edge plating line, including Chrome III technology, painting, plastic injection molding and built-in assembly capabilities to the region, supporting existing domestic production and providing additional capacity for customers’ future needs in the growing automotive market in China. The new facility will also support the company’s growing portfolio through product innovation.

SRG Global currently operates a facility in Suzhou, China. The new Hubei location will be SRG Global’s 14th manufacturing facility in the world and is expected to employ approximately 350 people.
