Henderson County officials may be close to securing construction of another automotive car parts plant.
County manager Steve Wyatt said the international company could make their final decision in the next several weeks.
Wyatt said if the company comes, it would bring a significant amount of job opportunities for auto parts workers, though it would not compare to the hundreds of anticipated jobs announced with the new auto parts maker GF Linamar.
"That announcement has spurred even more interest in Henderson county," Wyatt said.
"We've got folks in this community actually looking for sites to locate a potential manufacturing venture to feed the automotive industry," he added. "We are heavily in the recruitment process."
