Fiat India Automobiles Pvt. Ltd., a 50:50 joint venture between Italy's Fiat Group and India's Tata Motors, is planning to double its production capacity at its greenfield plant at Ranjangaon, Pune. The JV will also invest another Rs. 2,341 crore apart from the current investment of Rs. 1,679 crore. The Ranjangaon facility, with a total investment of Rs 4,020 crore, will produce nearly two lakh cars, three lakh engines and three lakh car parts and accessories.
