Honda Motor de Argentina S.A. (HAR), has begun construction of its new auto plant in Campana, Buenos Aires. The new plant, which is being set up with an investment of US$ 100 million approximately, is scheduled to begin operations in the latter half of 2009. It will house processes including stamping, welding, painting, final assembly and engine assembly. The plant will have the capacity to produce about 30,000 units annually and will also begin exporting products to other South American countries. Around 800 new associates will be hired by HAR.
