SONIC Tools, fresh from the brand's North American launch just two weeks ago, announces another new partnership with an automotive dealership and motorsports leader. The company, named the Official Hand Tool of IMSA, is rapidly growing its IMSA, TUDOR United SportsCar Championship and Continental Tire Sports Car Challenge partner program, with California's Mattioli Automotive Group and its Scuderia Corsa team now joining SONIC Tool's technical partnership program.
To celebrate, SONIC Tools will have an especially visible footprint at the October 2-4 Petit Le Mans 10-hour/1000-mile endurance classic at Road Atlanta. The SONIC Tools liveried no. 64 Scuderia Corsa Ferrari 458 Italia will compete, driven by Jeff Westphal, from San Francisco, California, Daniel Serra, from Sao Paulo, Brazil and Matteo Cressoni, from Mantua, Italy.
The Mattioli Automotive Group and Scuderia Corsa team will take advantage of SONIC's range of organization solutions for professional workshops by utilizing SONIC Tools and storage systems at their service centers and race shop located in Los Angeles, California. In addition, the team's transporter will be outfitted with SONIC Tools for use by the team's mechanics and engineers beginning at this weekend's Petit Le Mans.
As SONIC Tools introduces its line of premium-quality hand tools and ultra-efficient tool storage systems to North American do-it-yourself enthusiasts as well as professional mechanics, the company continues to actively develop partnerships with teams, dealer groups, manufacturers and other automotive industry groups.
"There's no better proving ground for SONIC Tools than the high-pressure environment of a race track where speed, efficiency and reliability count every second," said Colby McConnell, Chief Marketing Officer, SONIC Tools. "That's why we're thrilled to partner with a winning team like Mattioli Automotive Group to showcase our product line, both at the track and in their service dealership service operation."
Mattioli Automotive Group is the leading North American Ferrari dealership group, while the Scuderia Corsa team is a leading competitor in the TUDOR Championship. Scuderia Corsa drivers Bill Sweedler and Townsend Bell currently in contention for the driver's championship in the GT-Daytona class.
"It is a fantastic opportunity for us to partner with SONIC Tools," said Giacomo Mattioli, CEO of Mattioli Automotive Group and team owner of Scuderia Corsa. "The passion that the team at SONIC has for their products is clear to see, and we are proud to represent them this weekend at Petit Le Mans and for a long time to come. And we now have the opportunity to compete with the no. 64 SONIC Tools / Scuderia Corsa Ferrari 458 Italia at this weekend's Petit Le Mans, with a very strong driver lineup of Matteo, Daniel and Jeff."
SONIC Tools recently announced its first partnership with Wayne Taylor Racing and Prestige Performance Team. The company is the technical partner for the IMSA TUDOR United SportsCar Championship and Continental Tire Sports Car Challenge.
