Hyundai unveiled a concept sedan at the 2016 Beijing Auto Show - one that the next generation of Verna would be based on. The concept car showcased Hyundai's Fluidic Design Sculpture 2.0 and drew appreciation from car enthusiasts and experts alike.
Verna in India has gone through several facelifts and has done well for itself in its segment. In recent years though, it has faced tough competition from Honda City and Maruti's Ciaz.
The all-new Verna though is expected to find its way to Indian shores by end of 2017 - bringing Hyundai right back into the dominant position. On the appearance front, the Verna may bring in big changes to the front as well as the back, and make it sportier.
Hyundai though has not revealed if big changes can be expected under the hood.
The Korean auto giants are currently riding high on the success of Creta - launched mid 2015. The next big launch from Hyundai in India is the 2016 Tucson - expected to be launched by September.
