The automotive training program at Glen Oaks Community College has received accreditation by NATEF and The National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence (ASE). The Glen Oaks Automotive program has been accredited in the following areas: Maintenance and Light Repair.
To achieve this coveted recognition, the school’s automotive training program underwent rigorous evaluation by NATEF. Nationally accepted standards of excellence in areas such as instruction, facilities and equipment were used.
“I’m very excited and honored to receive this award,” said Ron Hofman, GOCC automotive instructor. “The college has been very supportive as we worked through the accreditation process. Also, a special thanks to Ginny Kowalski, CTE consortium supervisor, as she was a huge help in guiding us through the accrediting procedures.”
