CARBON CLUTCH RELEASE BEARINGS

Carbon clutch release bearings are very simple in design and vary in size depending on the operating conditions. They are used to engage and disengage the clutch. The carbon goes into action by pressing the release plate of the clutch assembly when the clutch pedal is pushed down and thus disengages the clutch. These bearings are used extensively in manual transmissions, allowing the smooth change of gears.

Low noise, abrasion, lightweight and longer service life are some features of carbon clutch release bearings.

CARBON SEALING RINGS

Carbon sealing rings are used as the wear face of most mechanical seals for the sealing of fluids in all industries. Carbon is ideal for use as a sealing ring due to its very good chemical resistance, thermal conductivity, high wear and corrosion resistance. It also has good frictional and dry running properties with an outstanding resistance to thermal shock and low thermal expansion.

The carbon sealing rings are widely used in mechanical seals of almost all kinds of rotating prime movers of machines, cold and hot water pumps, automobile cooling water pumps, turbines, fuel pumps, lubricating oil pumps, chemical pumps and corrosive liquid pumps.

CARBON VANES

Carbon vanes are self-lubricating, and are therefore ideal for pumps and handling liquids whose lubricating properties are poor, such as petrol, diesel and kerosene oils, to name a few. They can also operate unlubricated in compressors to deliver air or gas uncontaminated by lubricating oil or grease. In this process, the carbon gives a fine polish to the cylinder wall, which reduces the wear rate of the vane after bedding in-to negligible proportions.

Carbon vanes are chemically inert, non-toxic and cannot contaminate the liquid or gas being handled. They can safely be used in food processing equipment and in other fields where purity is essential.

Carbon vanes are widely used in compressors and vacuum pumps for vacuum brakes, printing, packaging and tobacco processing machines. They are also used in pumps applicable for dispensing equipment, drink vending machines, bottling plants, medical equipments and oil and fuel meters.

CARBON THRUST BEARINGS FOR SUBMERGED PUMPS

Thrust and axial bearings are used in different types of submerged pumps. These bearings are reliable because of their good thermal conductivity, frictional qualities and high thermal resistance. They feature clean technology and are environmentally friendly. Pumps fitted with carbon bearings consume less electrical energy and run longer when compared to conventional gun metal and other fibre composite materials.
