HANS MACHINERIES - BRAKING SYSTEM COMPONENTS AND PRECISION ENGINEERING COMPONENTS
Located near Kolkota, India, Hans Machineries manufactures high-precision engineering components. The company mainly produces brake components for the auto industry. We also manufacture custom-designed components for individual customers to their drawings and specifications. Our product range includes automobile brake discs, drums, rotors, water pumps, brackets, wheel spacers, gearbox housings, different shafts and valves. Established in 1997, Hans also manufactures rotary faller gill drawing machines for the jute and textile industries.
Giving utmost priority to quality standards and customer satisfaction, we use CNC-controlled machines to manufacture our products. We ensure that all our products are 100% checked and maintained at high-quality levels. Hans Machineries is an ISO 9001:2000-certified organisation and has developed a comprehensive laboratory and testing facility for its products.
DISC BRAKES / ROTORS
Disc brakes (known as rotors in the US) are made of cast iron and are machined with CNC turning and CNC milling / drilling machines. To stop the vehicle, friction material, in the form of brake pads is used. Friction material is mounted in the brake calliper. When applied, the brake pads will be forced hydraulically against both sides of the disc. This friction slows down the disc. We have a wide range of rotors such as slotted rotors and drilled rotors.
DRUM BRAKES
Drum brakes are manufactured from cast iron and machined with the CNC turning and CNC milling / drilling machines. Drum brakes work on the same principle as disc brakes. When brakes are applied, shoes press against a spinning surface - in this system, the surface is called a drum. Most cars are fitted with drum brakes on the rear wheels and disc brakes on the front wheels. The drum brakes are less expensive but they are harder to service, as they have more parts. The major advantage of drum brakes is that an emergency brake mechanism can easily be incorporated.
WHEEL SPACERS
A thermal insulating wheel spacer is positioned between the wheel and the vehicle brake drum. The wheel spacer has mounting holes with scallop portions adjacent to each mounting pad. The wheel spacer is assembled in layers resulting in enhanced wear and thermal-insulating properties.
CNC MACHINES
The CNC machines are used to manufacture various components for the automobile industry. We also have an induction case-hardening facility. Our machining capacity ranges are:
CNC vertical machining centre: 3,700mm x 2,200mm x 980mm
CNC horizontal machining centre: 530mm x 530mm x 560mm
CNC turning machine centre: 400mm diameter x 1,600mm
DIFFERENT SHAFTS FOR AUTOMOTIVE APPLICATIONS
Some important precision products of Hans include different shafts for various applications in the automotive sector. Hans manufactures various types of shafts conforming to global standards. Different shafts are available in case-hardened and ground variants.
