WSA Group designs, manufactures and supplies a wide range of car interior parts, steering column assemblies and other precision automotive parts. Having acquired Carpets International Malaysia Manufacturing Sdn Bhd (CIM), the WSA Group is also a leading manufacturer of automotive floor carpets and mats.

WSA Group's automotive parts and component manufacturing capabilities are strengthened by wood stock, semi-cured resin and LoPreFin materials. Technical expertise includes the design and manufacture of car interior parts such as door trims, headliners, parcel shelves, package trays and other anti-noise-vibration-harshness (NVH) products. The Group is also involved in precision engineering and currently supplies a complete steering column assembly to a national car manufacturer.

AUTOMOTIVE INTERIOR PARTS

With the integration of WSA Engineering and CIM, WSA Group is equipped with the most advanced technologies in the design and manufacture of interior automotive parts. WSA Group has a strong research and development team, along with technical partners and collaborators. They always explore and experiment in new areas in order to enhance the products in terms of aesthetic value, design, quality, durability and safety.

The company is capable of manufacturing door trim, headlining, floor carpet, shelf centre and package trays, rear end trim, trunk floor mats and trunk side trim. It is also capable of manufacturing pillar garnish, side trim and other noise vibration harshness (NVH) products. The products are made with low LoPreFin (Kenboard), wood stock and semi-cured resin.

AUTOMOTIVE STEERING COLUMN ASSEMBLIES

WSA Group, with its technical partners, specialises in manufacturing integrated steering column assemblies for cars. These are high quality assemblies in different shapes and sizes. They can be either straight or tilt columns, which are extensions to the steering.

AUTOMOTIVE CARPETS AND MATS

WSA Group crossed a new milestone when it officially acquired Carpets International Malaysia Manufacturing Sdn Bhd (CIM). As a pioneer carpet manufacturer since 1965, CIM is now a member of WSA Group of Companies. With the expanded business portfolio, CIM and other divisions within WSA have ensured that the company has become a leading player in the manufacture of various types of carpets.

The company manufactures and trades in broadloom machine-tufted and Axminster carpets, carpet tiles and hand-crafted carpets and rugs. All carpets and rugs can be customised to clients' individual specifications, provided the order for each design is not less than 1,000m² and 50m² for machine-tufted / Axminster and hand-tufted carpet respectively.

PRECISION AUTOMOTIVE PARTS

The company manufactures and exports high quality automotive precision parts. The product range includes joint assemblies, intermediate shafts, free wheel hubs, brake discs and brake drums. The manufacture of joint assemblies and intermediate shafts is a particular company speciality. The joint assembly is used to connect steering columns to the main shaft.

The intermediate shaft is the short extension that connects the half shaft on the shorter side of the transaxle to the differential gears. An intermediate shaft is necessary in some applications where equal-length half shafts are used. WSA Group also specialises in manufacturing high-quality free wheel hubs that are fixed on both ends of the shaft for wheel alignment. Brake drum and brake discs are fixed along with the wheel hubs for effective braking systems.

WSA GROUP - COMPANY HISTORY

Established in 1995, WSA Group began as a major consultancy firm. With new strategic partners, MPEM Sdn Bhd, Med-Bumikar Sdn Bhd and WSA Capital Corporation Sdn Bhd, new entities were formed: namely WSA Engineering and WSA Precision. These ventures were established to chart and enhance the Group's expansion into the automotive sector.
